I think i'm expecting too much...

from life?
from motherhood?
from myself?

from my computer.

Turns out when you have a 5 year old Macbook Pro and a Brand new 24 mp DSLR camera and 1GB film clips and you try and upload, download, open, sync, blog, browse, game and copy at the same time... somethings going to give.

Looks like I got used to having a super fast mac and having 10 things open at once and switching between all and somewhere in the last few months, it's just kind of given up on me.

Or I started to upload HUGE photo and video clips and a million iPhone photos and videos.

Anyway, a huge fear of mine is losing my data.

I'm really good at backing stuff up on multiple platforms and various hard drives and I have a whole time machine back-up of my mac as well as loads of CD's of my old photos etc.

I even hide some of the hard drives so that if I ever got robbed that they may not find them and i'd have something saved.

I also upload to that wonderful place called the internet. Some may think, god, she uploads loads of photos of her kid. Facebook is one of the best back-ups there is! It's free! They haven't set a limit (i'm on 25k+ photo uploads) and as long as I don't forget my password, we are good to go!

I also started uploading videos of LJ to youtube, another safe keeping. (Can you see I have a big fear problem yet?!)

Who would want to risk losing pictures like this?!

Well tonight my iPhoto decided it was going to make pictures disappear, oh but keep the albums, just to show me I have no photos in them.

I never trust anything and with my new lovely 32GB memory card in my camera, I haven't deleted photos off there for a few weeks and so I could upload them all again.

Lots of huffing and puffing from me because I feel this always happens to me.

iCloud on my phone is another issue i've been dealing with since October 2013, as it so nicely keeps telling me - Not enough Storage, this iPhone hasn't been backed up to the iCloud since October 2013.

Thanks Siri, i'm aware, I just don't want to delete anything incase iPhoto decides to show some magic disappearing acts again.

I even bought extra iCloud Storage and I still don't have enough storage.

Having previously worked for an Apple Premium Reseller, I had been gifted extra iCloud Storage (or MobileMe for the original Apple Fans) for the last couple of years. I had 25GB free storage plus the original 5GB you get. This is apparently the amount of storage I need.

So when that ran out in September last year, I thought I could purchase 10GB of extra storage and make do with 15GB iCloud Storage. Nope.

It seems that no matter how much I delete I still don't have enough. I basically have no apps backing up data and I've just cleared out all my e-mails and sent folder and I still don't have enough.

So while I was up all hours of the night with a teething baby, I decided to go through my Camera Roll and delete some unnecessary photos. Turns out i'm not great at this and spent more time looking through cute newborn photos of LJ that I had forgotten I took.

Like this -

And this -

I don't even remember him being that small. I do remember however that we used to have a lovely morning routine of having a little top and tail wash, a moisturise and getting him dressed in whatever cute outfit I had planned out for that day.

Now I battle a 7 month old to stay put while I change a horrible solid poop nappy while he's rolling around trying to escape butt naked and crying because he doesn't want his face wiped and stuffing the clothes I have laid out into his dribbley mouth while my stress levels rise.

To think I sat and laughed a couple of months ago while I watched my friend fight the same battle as I changed my baby in under a minute and he laid lovely and still for me.

I have learnt that sometimes I just need to sit back and let things take longer. The above photo was after a very bad night and a bad morning when in my sleep deprived upset state I posted that I wanted to trade my 7 month old for a newborn because I was sure they cried less.

Of course I don't want to trade my baby. I love him and I love being his mum even if he doesn't sleep.

So I just let him be naked and a daredevil and risk him peeing on the carpet and let it take an hour to get dressed from PJs to clothes.

His little laugh when he thinks i'm excited about something he's doing. It melts my heart.

I had a cry and doubted myself and we went for a walk.

Then I felt a lot better and I deleted my previous comment and felt very guilty indeed.

eighty years old.

It was my Grandma's birthday yesterday and she was 80.

I wanted something that displayed her 80 years in a lovely present and originally I was thinking of a family tree, ones like i'd seen on but they didn't have enough customisation to accommodate all of our family.

So then I came across these family trees by Jack Spratt Baby. It was perfect, we could all do our fingerprints while we were all together as a family at Grandma's and she had something that showed her 80 years as it was all the fingerprints of her children, grandchildren and her great grandson.

It turns out that everyone likes finger printing...

We all had a great night and we found out that LJ really likes bagpipes...

He was going crazy dancing on GG's lap! So funny. I'll have to get some bagpipe music for home entertainment.

I have to remember to use my real camera every so often when LJ and I are in the house or out and about even. It's so easy to just use your phone for photos as it's always close by, but then I catch a photo like this and the quality is 100 times better and I wish I always had this camera with me (and that I could get a good photo!).

I think I was pulling funny faces over the top of the camera and hoping for the best. Usually I do some sort of crazy dancing for him while he eats his lunch and he finds me pretty funny.

Talking of Cameras, I have another item to add to my wish list.

The Bloom Theory Camera Straps, especially this one.

but yeah, $130? like I said WISH list.

Also, why is everything I love from America?

Can someone show me some British cool products please?! They obviously aren't popping up on my instagram often enough.

Breadsticks have been my friend recently in giving me half an hour to get things clean, tidy, ready or prepared while LJ gums away (Yes, still no teeth) as he is only happy when he's got food in his hand at the moment, or maybe 10 minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba (that's one weird but brilliant programme).

Banana is also funny.

Notice how I have loads of videos and photos of him eating? It's because it's the only time he isn't crying at the moment.

Ok, that's a little lie but mostly i'm only hands free and not being used as a climbing frame when it's food time.

He loves them!

So other new things this week.

New Fears: The hoover and ball pools.

A fan of the balls outside on hard ground... not such a fan of being in a pool of them.

The hoover which used to be my life saver when he was tiny, is now a big scary noisy machine and should mummy think herself so lucky to do something in the daytime like cleaning, then she must do it while balancing a 7 month old on her hip at the same time as driving a Henry around the house and avoiding stray toys.

Loves however is animals at the top of the list! He loves them! He laughs in excitement and his hands and feet rotate round as he tries to reach out to touch them.

Our Rabbits?
Not so keen on the dribbling baby bum shuffling towards them.

We have however decided we may get a cat (rescue cat) when we have our own place as LJ is fascinated with them! This is Peanut, my Uncle's cat.

LJ would watch a cat all day long! (See why I'm keen now?)

Oh yes, another 'first' mummy moment. It was all going well until the little monkey worked out he could hold on to the rope and try and stand up.

It's been one busy week and we have a busy weekend coming up! I have a to-do list so long I don't know where to start and half finished projects that i'll post about soon (no idea when!?)

Finally, I went to work today! I had a keep in touch day and just as well as it took a long time for my brain to start working again.

It was a great day and I felt somewhat relaxed and enjoyed a hot tea and even painted my nails at lunch time (a bit like a Spa day I guess!) and I tried to remember how I used my brain before baby.

I asked some pretty stupid questions and couldn't remember names of things but luckily my colleagues are great and somewhat understood what I was trying to get at and helped me out. LJ had a great time with my mum and was out and about on lunch dates and gatherings. I got the pleasure of being greeted with a shriek of excitement and huge smiles as I came home from work and I scooped him up and realised how much i'd missed him.

It was lovely to have the break though and I was even treated to a good night's sleep beforehand! I tried telling LJ how much happier EVERYONE was with some sleep but i'm not sure he was listening.

Today I experienced what happens when a baby doesn't take a nap for most of the day.

Nap Strike here and even kicking up a fuss about buttons being done back up after nappy change!

I struggle with naps a lot of the time and i've had plenty of sleepless nights, but i've never had LJ not nap for 7 hours straight after waking at 6am. It was not pretty.

Fingers crossed for those teeth at last! It's gotta be them! Come on! I'm willing to deal with being bitten as long as they poke through and stop hurting my boy and LET HIM SLEEP LET US SLEEP.

So anyway, I spent most the day getting LJ to nap or keeping him asleep. I made the major fail of thinking if I held him for half an hour asleep that he'd be asleep enough to put down in his cot. Major mistake, note to self: don't think you can EVER do this, it never works.

In the end I was saved from nap duty for 10 minutes by my dad while he entertained a very tired baby and I grabbed a shower and then sat LJ in his carseat while I blow dried my hair.

This must be very boring to watch as he finally fell asleep! I didn't take any chances though, the urge to get stuff done by this time had been overtaken by the need to make sure he had enough sleep for us to get through the rest of the day. So I sat for an hour and a half rocking the carseat with my foot. Totally worth it.

Happy boy in the afternoon!

(His outfit looks a little French, no?)

I even got some laughs! yes me! Mummy!! The one who usually is only good for feeding and getting to sleep and cuddles. I was FUN! He laughed! Daddy (Or Grandad) was no where in sight!

So fingers crossed he'll feel a little better tonight! He's already sleeping a lot better than last night, so he shouldn't be so tired. Thanks to a lot of mummy support on Facebook, I got various suggestions to help ease his pain, so lets hope they work!

People often ask (by people, I mean those without children) 'Does it get easier as they get older?' well the answer is no.

There are ALWAYS new challenges. new obstacles. new problems.

When they are a newborn you just want them to sleep in night time hours and be full enough that they aren't feeding every half an hour (for an hour, thanks LJ).

When they get to 3 months you just want them not to have problems bringing wind up or going to the toilet without pain.

When they are 6 months you want them to like new food you give them and maybe sleep through the night (ha, i'm not believing in that one for a while!)

When they are 7 months, you wonder why suddenly they don't want to take any food from a spoon anymore and insist on feeding themselves.

Yes, my new problem.

While it's great that he enjoys to feed himself and does so nicely without choking and I can either eat my lunch at the same time (amazing in itself) or get on with doing jobs around the kitchen... it's not always great when I don't have time for him to be messy or take 45 minutes to eat.

When I started weaning LJ at 23 weeks old, I did a mixture of Baby Led Weaning and Puree's. I knew it was important he learnt to use his hands to feed but because we were on 'weight watch' I also wanted to use the opportunity to get some food in to him for once!

So it all went brilliant for 8 weeks and now he will refuse food from a spoon! Even going as far as to sometimes refuse fruit from a spoon too! (This is from the boy who rotates both hands and feet in excitement when he sees me bring out the fruit!) Shocking stuff.

Anyway, he enjoyed Nannie's homemade bread yesterday but didn't think much of her soup.

On a project note, the photo books are in progress! I have sorted through the photos and tucked them in the pages ready to be further organised!

Another thing I haven't mentioned yet is my new adventure into the world of prints.
(Well I figured I'd use my spare time and that £21k degree for something)

Logi Bear Prints (click to go to the FB page)

It all started when I saw a lovely quote for little boys and thought, oh i'd like that in LJ's room. Then I figured, I can do this in Photoshop!

So I did. Then I made a birth details print as well, and used them to decorate LJ's second nursery back at dads.

Then a friend asked me to do them one and I thought I can do more of these!

So I created a Facebook Page and Prices are on each picture.

If anyone is interested in one, you can message me on the FB page or at and tell me which design your interested in, what colours you would like and if its a personalised one, then the details required and the size you intend to print the print (for design purposes).

At present, I create the prints and e-mail the file over and you can print it however and wherever you like. If you wish for me to sort the print out as well, that can be arranged for print costs as they are via the website I use to print my prints.

If your reading this blog and your interested in having one done, tell me you found out about it via the blog and i'll give £2 off any print or design.

Birth Details

Be a boy Print

Be a girl Print

Name Prints (This one was for my cousin's birthday, she loves Panda's!)

This was for a friend's nursery for her baby due next month. They have a sailor theme going on, so I created this print for her baby's Christmas Present! If you have a bedroom theme and would like a print created, give me a message!

and finally (for the moment) couple loves! (or other family member loves, Daddy and Son etc!) I created this for Alistair for our 5 Year Anniversary last Summer.

Now you know our loves and silly things we enjoy!

Hurray it's the weekend! ... Oh wait. I'm a mummy...

Wednesday, 22 January 2014

It's been a crazy few days again! I had a couple of weeks where I felt like I didn't have anything planned and then this week and the next few weeks are jam packed!

So I have a few projects on the go and awaiting to go and in the pipeline.

As we are currently saving for a house of our own, not many of them are DIY house things at the moment.

First up is a Christmas Present that Ali got me. I was really impressed that he remembered that I spoke about wanting to do this for Logan's room after he was born. I decided at the time that I didn't have the spare money to do it, so I forgot about it. He then surprised me at Christmas with the cardboard 3D letters and some paint to do my project!

I don't know exactly what i'm going to do yet but i've pinned some ideas on Pinterest for designs and techniques!

Next up is actually a project that my friend Sophie challenged me to back in August 2012 on my birthday.

She got me a really cool scrapbook from Papercase! (An instant love!) and a white gel pen (again, 90s throwback! Love it!) and wrote me this card in the front page...

She challenged me to fill the 99 pages of the book with photos of everything I do from August 2012 to August 2013 and then I can look back and see all i've done in the year.

Well I started off by putting sticky notes on the pages with the months divided and then things we did to remind me what photos I would need to print out. This was going well for the first couple of months, I figured I would wait until I had around 150 photos to print and then print them (to be cost effective) and get to work.

Then I got pregnant! woo! and my mind filled with a million baby things.

So I finally got round to sorting the photos I needed to print out and ordering them!

They've arrived, so the next thing to do is sort them all out again into the months and actually get them in the book! I'll post again once it's done! It's amazing how much you do in a year and how much changes! The book starts with my 23rd birthday and lots of drinking and ends with a low key 24th birthday with my little 7 week old!

I liked this idea so much, that when Ali's sister Jade got me another scrapbook from Papercase (double yey!) and said to put photo's of my baby in (yet to be born!) I thought i'd do something similar and spilt the pages into each week of LJ's life up until he is one. So again I planned out the photos I wanted to print so far and I wrote on the pages to break it up into weeks and I wrote the dates too (that's mainly to help me organise the photos, thank goodness for photo data when uploaded!)

So that's another photo project waiting further organisation and competition.

I liked Sophie's idea so much that I asked for another scrapbook for christmas and my sister Lucy got me a lovely one (from Papercase, they need to all be similar!), and that's waiting to be sorted for 2013 (I figured I should finish my 2012-2013 one first.)

I take so many photos but I hardly ever print them these days (I used to work in a photoshop and became obsessed with using the wages I got paid to work there and giving the money right back in the form of paying for prints!) and so I wanted to make sure we had some photos printed.

Another, not so much a project but a to-do is getting some frames for the prints we have.

We happened to have various photo shoots within a few months and so the prints are just waiting to be framed. As we aren't currently in our own house, we have limited wall space, therefore it's not a priority on my list but I do LOVE these photos, so I want them somewhere! I may stand them up against the wall in the bedroom and just switch round the front one every so often!

The three white background prints were taken by our good friend Joshua Potter, you can check out his work here. We know Josh through Ultimate Frisbee (Which we play and run the IOU team in Ipswich, more on that another time) and it just so happens he also went to the same University as I did and did the same course a couple of years later than me (clearly did much better at using his degree than I did!) and he also went to school with Ali's sister. Ipswich is a small town and it's a small world. Ali's parents wanted updated family photos of everyone and as both of Ali's siblings currently do not live in Ipswich, it was a last minute we are all in Ipswich this weekend and lets embrace the chance please can you take our photos! Josh is great and fitted us in on a Sunday and we loved the photos! As well as some big family photos, he also did some themed ones of LJ, which I LOVE!!! so cute. It was fitting that he happened to be 6 months at the time and therefore I have a midway photo of him. I'm totally getting him to do a cake smash session for LJ's one year birthday.

The swim photo is via Water Babies swimming lessons, which I mentioned before. The plan is to have it in our future bathroom!

The final photo of Ali & I kissing (very rare moment) and LJ on our shoulders looking equally as shocked, was taken by AKexpressions. In a first time in my life, I actually WON this photoshoot via Facebook (Funnily enough the same week some friends complained about people entering competitions on FB).

I've been collecting jars!

My plan is to decorate them and store all the pens and crayons I have in for my future craft table. I've pinned some ideas to Pinterest but I think i'm going for something like this

I'll post pictures once i've decided and completed them!

While looking through my pins on Pinterest, I came across lots of pins from one of my favourite websites!

My friend Laura told me about this website when I was looking for wall stickers for LJ's nursery. They have AMAZING unique things on the website!

My favourite items pinned ready for our new house and LJ's THIRD nursery!! is this amazing animal place map.

and also these cool animal nesting dolls!

Plus a load of other things! Maybe i'll post some more favourites another time.

So what have I been up to this week?

Making a nappy cake.

The last time I made one was for my friend's baby shower over 2 years ago. Now having had a baby myself, I made a few changes.

Firstly I bought size 2 nappies as babies aren't in size 1's for long! Secondly most of the time they have plenty of blankets and Muslins and clothes, therefore I got a couple of toys ready for when baby is slightly older and based on the ones that LJ loved/loves playing with. Also instead of another cuddly toy, I got some shoes to pop on the top, it just so happened that they matched the colour ribbon I had got too. For the middle I got some bath products that I found great for LJ too, instead of using any old bottles that I did last time.

My downfall was that I didn't buy enough nappies. I couldn't remember what i got last time, but I used some of LJ's size 4's to help bulk it out and they will come in handy eventually!

We threw a surprise baby shower for my friend Libby who is due in 3 1/2 weeks! So exciting, she will be having the 3rd BOY of our little friendship group. We will have little boys running riot at future gatherings!

We ate LOTS of Pizza...

and had a great catch up with everyone and played some games, including make a baby out of play dough in 30 seconds. We noted that 30 seconds is not really enough time, you'll see from the photo.

On the Monday, I met up with some mummy friends and we took the babies to the sensory room at Treehouse Children's Centre. It's free to hire the room for an hour and its AMAZING. The babies love it. They have a bubble tube that changes colour and things that project on the wall and mirrors and lights that change colour on the floor. It's a great chance to give the babies time to move about (on squishy mats, so safe if they tumble) and let them discover everything. We can then have a chat and catch up and watch their little faces!

Here's a little video.

LJ has been all about getting you to help him stand up and let him hold on to things. He's a lot steadier on his feet now and I do let him hold on to things on his own if its safe.

He made me laugh so much when on Monday night, as I got him undressed for his bath, he held on to my hands, pulled himself up and walked butt naked into the bathroom with me holding his hands and peered over the bath to inspect it!

He was amazed at watching the water come out of the tap.

So this time last year, we found out we were having a BOY!

and it was SNOWING.

This photo reveal idea was one I found via Pinterest and would you believe Ali & I aren't actually in those photos together? The snow helped A LOT with stitching the photos together. Basically we were by ourselves and didn't want to look too strange with a tripod, so we took them separately. We did a girl and a boy outcome and then had both ready for the day of our scan. We also took blue and pink balloons with us and visited both parents afterwards with a blown up balloon ready at the door.

I can't believe that was last year and now we have a 7 month old. At the time it seemed like we had ages to go (20 weeks) until he was here.

This time, it's not as cold out.

but it sure is frosty in the mornings.

we've done a lot of walking already this week and I noticed the drop in temperature!

LJ and I enjoyed some lunch with our friends today. I have another friend who is expecting a little boy at the end of May, just before LJ is one. I'm so excited as we grew up together and there is a year between us and I can't wait for our boys to have the same fun. (Hopefully not dancing to Spice Girls and playing Mummy's, but you never know).

Here's to completing projects and enjoying the last month of my maternity leave before I go back to work at the end of Feb!

I'll leave you with the bum shuffling, no pant wearing, piano player.

Sunday, 19 January 2014

Wow it's been a busy weekend.

I really had planned to do lots of organisaton and post about some current projects.
Well, I didn't really get any of that done. So the projects will have to wait.

I almost can't remember how Friday went and it's only Sunday.

I set out with the thought that we'd spent friday just playing on the floor so that LJ could practice his crawling skills if he wanted. He didn't. He was a little grizzle monster that just wanted to be held. He cried loads when I left him to go to the toilet and therefore when my dad asked me why I was eating the Christmas Chocolates for Breakfast, I said it's what i've got nearby! Didn't want to risk a meltdown again. (plus I really love eating chocolate in the morning!)

The below bib and shoes set are from our friends from university that went and lived in Malaysia for a year after they got married in the Summer of 2012. I loved them! I love anything that's from overseas and different. I'd been meaning to send them a photo of LJ in them and I hadn't got round to it until now. He properly thought he was getting some kind of milk or food and looks very hopeful in the photo. LJ isn't great at keeping shoes on, so i'd say he got more out of these shoes by playing with them in his hands at the changing table. He rolls to the side and grabs a shoe and that keeps him occupied while I change his nappy or get him dressed.

LJ is a real wiggler when having his nappy changed or getting dressed. He loves to try and roll over and make it as big of task as possible for me. When I was in B&M I saw the black and silver hanging chime for £5 and I thought this might be a good distraction! It worked a treat! He loves to hit his hands through it and sometimes just stare at it move afterwards. Sometimes I hide one of his cuddly toys in the middle of it and see if he notices.

So I spread out some of his toys on the mat and thought he could just go wherever he fancied. We played for a bit but he was very grizzly. My dad was off to run some errands, so offered to take him out in the car with him. They were gone for about an hour and I took this time to finally ring and find a dentist to make an appointment with! My wisdom teeth have been coming through bit by bit for years now and the bottom one has finally made a big enough appearance for me to see it's come through at an angle and it's going to cause me problems. The first place I rang said no appointments until April! Luckily the next one had an appointment for next week. Taken! I'm not bothered by the dentist but I have a feeling he's going to tell me off for leaving it so long (another one of those To-Do's that hasn't happened).

So once LJ had returned, I felt happier for getting some jobs sorted in that time and he seemed happier to have been out of the house. I fed him lunch and put him down for his nap. HE SLEPT FOR 2 AND A HALF HOURS!!!!!

New record!

He woke only once after half an hour and I topped up his feed and put him back down. I was lost for what to do! (Should have done some of that organising!) However I got more things sorted! Confirmed LJ's bank account (again something I meant to do back in the Summer) and signed some things for work to send back. I then sorted out LJ's daycare schedule on my new calendar and ate lunch and wondered what to do with all this spare time.

If he napped like that everyday and I knew he would, I could get loads done! I have the fear that i'd start something and then he'd wake and it would just be left a mess. Also I quite enjoyed the rest (Who doesn't?)

Anyway, this was LJ when he woke up...

A lot happier.
Yes that is a toy mouse in his mouth. It's from IKEA and my dad got it for him last week. He loves it. However strange it looks. I think it's one of 3 blind mice.

So we had a good afternoon and then took a little walk down to Sainsburys for various things. LJ did well and got some new books!

The first lot is a box of Fairy Tale hard books for £2.50 in the sale. He is fascinated with the box and taking the books in and out, it helps they are all bright colours and he loves boxes or bags at the moment. I've read the first 3 pages of each book to him, that's about his limit before he snatches it off me and sticks it in his mouth.

I may never know the end of Tom Thumb.

The second lot I got 3 books for £5 and my first choice was a book called 'Why I love my mummy' (So I can read it with LJ when I feel it's all too much, to remind me that even though he doesn't let me go pee, i'm sure he loves me for all the reasons in the book)

My favourite page is this...

Oh she sure does. Every night. Throughout the night.

The next book was for Daddy to read to LJ.

We kind of dump Dinosaurs on to LJ. YOU WILL LIKE DINOSAURS.

We think they are cool. Anyway, this book goes through the different dinosaurs names and Ali said he had a book similar as a kid and wanted to help LJ learn the different kinds.

The third one was a book about rockets and Space. Again, another cool subject (Plus the pages are lovely bright colours!)

I love buying things for LJ, it gives me so much more joy than buying for me. Oh how times have changed! At least with baby things, you can buy a lot more with your money (but then you buy twice as much, oops)

So we had a big family dinner tonight of Curry and we thought we'd let LJ in on it. He wasn't so keen on the curry (pureed down) on a spoon but he was quite happy to have some bits of toast dipped in it?!

Here's a short video to show you how much he loved it.

Do you know what I loved? ... Ali did the next 3 nappy changes after this.

Oh and Lego update, we went food shopping and Ali decided he just wanted one more from the current lego series and that was the tribal man.

So he feels up the foil packets.
Exclaims this is the one.
We purchase.
and Ta-Da!

Man he's good at this.
(also note fish photo bomb...)

So that's us done for this Lego Series. We're holding out now for the Lego Movie Series to launch.

I'd been stressing out earlier in the week that I hadn't done anything around the house, so Ali took LJ out and about for the day and occupied him so I could get some serious cleaning done.

We were happy to see a parcel arrive for us first thing in the morning!

Presents from Canada!

Our friends from Ali's frisbee team moved out there in the Summer of 2012 and we miss them terribly! We FaceTime them when we can work out time around the time difference and busy schedules. I LOVE these vests! LJ was in the red one (6-12m) with a long sleeve top underneath, as soon as we got him dressed! The white one is (12-18m) so a nice treat for the summer months.

I got all my cleaning done and feel tons better about it! (until next week!)

Are you ready for cuteness overload?!

Who doesn't love a baby in a bowtie?!?!
(From H&M for all those baby boy mama's out there)

Me and my bowtie boy.

Our attempt at a family selfie. LJ isn't great with the camera flash! I'm sad I forgot to get someone to take a photo of us 3 at the party.

My two boys.

We went to a family party on Saturday night, it was just for fun and a chance for everyone to get together on a happy note. It was a great night and lots of the family told me they enjoyed meeting Logan in real life and how they feel they already know him so well. (Oops, too many photo and video uploads?!)

Anyway, this party boy stayed awake until 10pm!! We figured he'd be awake for a bit and then we had brought his pram in for him to snooze in. Oh no, he was fascinated with the disco lights and the people and staring at all the kids running around.

Cue not a great night sleep but a very sleepy boy on Sunday!

After LJ having a restless sleep, I brought him in my bed in the morning around 6:30am and he slept until 8:45! I think he might have been a bit cold too, I've put him in more clothes tonight.

He woke just in time to wave goodbye to Ali who was off on his sunday morning bike ride of a ridiculous amount of miles.

We read LJ's new books in bed, lying down so I could actually get through the whole book by holding it up above us away from snatchy hands! Then we had to do #sundaymorningmadness by ourselves, so it looks a little different.

Note the bed hair. hehe.
My little Tin Tin.

So I got him some breakfast, got him dressed and we had a little play and then some milk and he was asleep again!

He was rocking his new Spidey outfit from his Great Auntie E and family.

He was so cosy to cuddle in this outfit!

Which might explain why I took the time to just cuddle my sleeping baby for an hour and a bit while he slept.

It doesn't happen very often anymore and so I just forgot about all the things I should have been doing (the storage boxes!!) and just sat and snuggled him and watched a documentary (I didn't finish it, so that's more the norm) and enjoyed a time out.

Once Ali returned from the crazy long bike ride and looking a bit like death. We popped to see some friends and catch up with them and LJ had a good play with everyone and was very vocal!

We attempted to get him back to his routine for bedtime but he fell asleep in the car on the way back and even getting him out of the carseat and sitting him up gently didn't wake him! He just stayed asleep sitting up! It took us 10 minutes but eventually we managed to stir him for some dinner.

Bath and bed and hopefully he gets a better sleep tonight!

I'm now off to get some work done on the storage boxes as I believe we won't be able to find our way to bed soon with all the clean washing to put away and filing to store.

Hopefully i'll be able to update on some Projects soon!

My friend Jemma (and fellow pinterest lover) showed me another project to add to my list! (like I need more!) and I think I might bump it up the list of to-do's!

I'll leave you with a very vocal Dadadadad boy video!
